About Masti Venkatesh Iyengar
Jnanpith Award Winner 1983, for his novel Chikaveera Rajendra, this doyen of Kannada literature, Masti Venkatesh lyengar (June 6, 1891 to June 6, 1986), expressed himself prolifically through some 80 short stories, 18 plays, 3 novels, 17 collections of poems, besides a biography and several critical works.
