About Lindsay Pereira
Lindsay Pereira is a writer, journalist and editor. He holds a PhD in literature for his work on gender attitudes implicit in nineteenth-century Indian fiction. He was co-editor of Women’s Voices, Oxford University Press, 2002. His first novel, Gods and Ends, Penguin Random House, 2021, was shortlisted for the 2021 JCB Prize and Tata Literature Live! First Book Award. His second novel, The Memoirs of Valmiki Rao, Penguin Random House, 2024, won the Literature Live! Literary Award for fiction in 2024.
