About Chaity Das
Chaity Das teaches English Literature in Kalindi College, University of Delhi. Her PhD research on testimonial literature and fiction emerging from the war of 1971 from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, was published by Oxford University Press under the title In the Land of Buried Tongues: Testimonies and Literary Narratives of the War of Liberation of Bangladesh in 2017. Her other publications in journals are also related to this field of study. Her early years were spent between Guwahati and Shillong where memories and stories of 1947 and 1971 came alive.
