Lubna Chowdhary’s sculptural objects, and spatial installations, address a longstanding preoccupation with urbanisation and material culture. Through experiments in aesthetic hybridity, Chowdhary works with diverse references, to negotiate cross-cultural narratives of modernity, seeking ,a href=”https://www.thehindu.com/entertainment/art/lubna-chowdhary-switching-identities/article33694914.ece”>to find common ground between “various binaries such as art and craft, East and West, industrial and handmade, ornamental excess and minimal restraint”, and her identity as a member of the diaspora’.
